We are VAT-registered and VAT is added to all fees. 3. How do we start projects? We start by agreeing the brief to establish precisely what you want our copywriters to write. This will cover:
4. What if your copywriting brief changes?Because the brief is a set of precise instructions on which our copywriting quotation is based, we may need to re-quote if you need to change anything after we have started. We try to be as flexible as possible, although need to charge for time a copywriter has already spent on your project. Our aim is to provide you with high quality freelance copywriting at a competitive price. 5. How do we write for you?We complete the majority of our freelance copywriting projects remotely, using broadband internet to communicate with clients by email and conducting interviews by telephone. Often our copywriters do not meet clients face-to-face due to distance or short timescales, although we build long-term relationships because clients are happy with our work. We work from our own offices in Wokingham, Berkshire and Ilfracombe, Devon and can easily visit clients where this is viable for all involved. We can also work at your offices by arrangement. 6. What subject areas do we write about?Much of our copywriting covers business-to-business topics, although we also write for consumer and leisure audiences. Our belief is that it is the ability to write effectively that is most important and we will look at writing for any audience where we think we can achieve this. If we feel that we are not best suited to write on a specific topic, we will tell you. Our freelance copywriting experience covers sectors including computers and IT, engineering, entertainment, human resources, industrial, legal, professional, software, telecommunications, training, transport, travel and voluntary. 7. Can we provide technical copywriters? Our freelance copywriters provide technical copywriting for case studies, press releases, trade press articles, white papers, brochures and other documents. We are able to do this because we can explain complex technical concepts in easily understandable English, even though we do not have specific technical backgrounds. We have written technical copy for manufacturers of electrical power generators, pleasure craft and workboats; electronics testing laboratories; software companies; and other specialist technical clients. Our ability in this field is demonstrated by our clients' requests for us to write technical copy for them. Robert Zarywacz has also written hundreds of IT and internet articles for The Business Magazine and was a judge in the DTI/InterForum E-Commerce Awards in 2000 and 2001. 8. What formats do we specialise in?Our freelance copywriters have considerable experience of writing brochures, case studies, content for web sites, blogs and social media campaigns, press releases, feature articles, news articles, newsletters and sales letters. We also write training courses, reference materials, presentations and speeches. 9. Do we have experience of writing online content? Our freelance copywriters have considerable experience of writing content for web sites and online systems, reaching back to 1985 before the existence of internet as we know it now. Our writers also understand the role text plays in indexing web pages with search engines and the need to incorporate key words and phrases. We are also experienced bloggers – visit z2zine.co.uk and z2z.biz – and are active on twitter (@z2zine) and other social media sites. 10. Who uses our freelance copywriting service? Our freelance copywriters have experience of writing for multinational corporations, UK companies and small businesses, as well as trade and business magazines, newspapers and web sites. We work with organisations in both the commercial and public sectors. 11. Do we do anything else apart from copywriting? Our freelance copywriters can also edit or proofread your existing text, and advise on writing and communications. We can manage an entire project, including the design and printing of documents or creation and updating of web sites. 12. Who owns the copyright of text we write for you?Under our standard terms and conditions, we retain the copyright until we have received the agreed payment, after which copyright transfers to you. If we are not paid, we reserve the right to refuse the use of text we have written for any purposes - we have never had to do this and hope we never need to. 13. Would you like advice on copywriting? However we describe our service, you can't tell whether our freelance copywriters suit your requirements until we start copywriting for you.
